Helicopters of the Helicopter Service of the Republika Srpska and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Serbia managed to put out the fire in the area of Trebinje, with the help of the rain that started to fall, said the director of the Helicopter Service of the Republika Srpska Boban Kusturic.

Kusturic stated that the helicopters took off more than an hour ago, and that they dumped 70 tons of water.

“So we extinguished and localized the remaining three fires in the area of Lastva in Trebinje. There are still a few places left to smolder, but there are no open flames,” said Kusturic.

He added that with the help of the rain, a good part of the work was done before noon.

Two helicopters of the MIA of Serbia arrived in Trebinje this morning to help put out the fire in the Bijela Gora area.
