Hilarious Scenes from Romania from the Training of reservist Veterans

The Romanian army recently sent calls for 6,000 reservists, most of whom served in the army more than 10 or 20 years ago, and such a fact brought with it numerous strange and truly funny situations.

Namely, the Romanian army launched the MOBEX exercise, to which 6,000 reservists from the “veteran” category were invited, and as stated by the Ministry of Defense, the aim is to check their training and combat ability.

“We are doing one-day trainings. It follows that, when we have more options, we will raise the preparations to another level. Today’s training is only one element,” said General Iulian Daniliuc, head of the administration for personnel and mobilization, yesterday.

However, calls to veterans caused numerous, quite strange situations.

One of the reservists who gave a statement to Romania’s Digi 24 said that he gave up the exercises before they even started.

“I have short socks, and my boots are blistered. I was in the army 20 years ago. Now the equipment is good, but I have short socks. It’s not the boots, but the socks,” said one of the reservists.

When asked by the journalist what is he waiting in the camp, the reservist answered.

“I’m waiting for the ambulance to come pick me up. When I was called to the exercise, the police were also at the door. I was a little scared, but they told me why I was called,” he said.

Journalists also asked him if he would go to war.

“I don’t know. I’m not what I used to be. I’ve got a little bellytoo,” he made everyone laugh.

Namely, speaking about the exercise for veterans, Daniliuc said that the Romanian army can still rely on older soldiers.

“Think about the last generation that served military service in 2006. 18 years have passed since then. So, soldiers who were then 20-24 years old are now over 38-40 years old. We can rely on them for another 10 years because by law, we can invite them up to the age of 55,” he concluded, Klix.ba writes.
