zucThe demining teams of the Federal Administration of Civil Protection completed the demining of the Hill Žuč, in the area of Vogošća, and the demined area is 53. 723 square meters.

”It was very difficult task, because this area is located between the lines of separation. We exclusively used the method of shoveling, without any possibility of using the machines and detectors. We have found 7 mines and 63 unexploded ordnance, among which there was cluster munitions,” said Enes Dolić, the Head of Department for the Federal Administration of Civil Protection.

According to the words of the Assistant Chief of Service for Civil Protection of the Vogošća Municipality, Nermin Hajro, the completion of this task created conditions for the unhindered use of this area that borders with the Novi Grad Municipality.

From the Federal Administration of Civil Protection say that the continuation of the demining works in that area is expected to start in August.

The Vogošća Municipality appeals to the citizens to strictly adhere to the mine signs indicating mined areas, as well as the warnings that give structures of the protections, rescuing and deminers who work on the operations of demining.

Every finding of the unexploded ordnance need to be immediately reported to the Civil Protection or the Police who are going to take adequate measures, states the report of the Vogošća Municipality.
