The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain, Maria Molina Alvarez Toledo and her associates visited the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH) and discussed current issues related to the judiciary with President Sanin Bogunić, Vice President Velimir Ninković, and Permanent Member Sedin Idrizović.

The central topic of today’s meeting was the future cooperation between the Spanish and Bosnian-Herzegovinian judiciary in the field of digitalization of the judicial system, as well as the cooperation recently established between the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the Chief Prosecutors of Latin American countries in the field of drug trafficking.

Ambassador Molina emphasized that the cooperation achieved between the HJPC BiH and Spanish experts through the EU4Justice Project is very satisfactory and that she hopes that it will continue in the future through new projects.

President Bogunić thanked the Kingdom of Spain for the previous support to the HJPC BiH and the BiH judiciary, emphasizing that it took place on a partnership basis through two-way communication.

He also emphasized that he believes there is room for continued cooperation with the Spanish judiciary, which will contribute to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s further approach to European integration.
