The Head of the OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Rick Holtzapple, and the President of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPCBiH), Sanin Bogunić, discussed today the strengthening of the capacity of the judiciary and police agencies to prosecute the glorification of war crimes and criminal acts that incite national, racial and religious hatred.
In this context, it was agreed to organize a forum that would bring together prosecutors, judges and police officers to consider the possibilities of strengthening capacities in this area.
The upcoming elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina were also discussed. It was discussed about the violation of the Election Law during pre-election campaigns through the misuse of public funds for possibly bribing voters.
The issue of preventing possible obstruction of electronic election technology on election day was also considered.
The meeting ended with the exchange of information on the further dynamics of the work of the Supervisory Body for Monitoring the Implementation of the Strategy for Work on War Crimes Cases in BiH, announced the HJPC of BiH.
