House of Peoples Session of FB&H Parliament Began in Sarajevo

dom narodaA session of the House of Peoples of FB&H Parliament started today in Sarajevo, and one of the announced agenda points is the proposed legislative changes related to the so called military apartments in the FB&H.

Changes to this legislation, which is titled “Law on Sale of Apartments with Tenancy Rights”, foresees financial compensation for apartments in FB&H which belong to JNA members who left B&H during the war, under the condition that they do not have a new apartment in the countries where they went, mainly in Serbia and Montenegro. Those who have a new apartment in the living country will not receive any financial compensation nor the old apartment.

In addition to legislative changes for the housing issue, in the agenda of this session is the discussion on reform strategies of the pension system in FB&H.

The draft law on amendments to the law on liquidation, the draft law on amendments to the law on bankruptcy, the draft law on amendments to the law on civil procedure, the draft law on civil services of the FB&H are part of today’s agenda as well.
