How are Universities in BiH ranked in the World?

In the July edition of the Webometrics ranking, the University of Sarajevo is on the 1714th place in the world list in the overall ranking of more than 30,000 universities, which continued the decline in the value qualification of this institution.

Ranking Web or Webometrics is the largest academic ranking list of higher education institutions that every six months offers an independent, objective, free, open scientific exercise to provide reliable, multidimensional, updated and useful information on the performance of universities from around the world.

The best-ranked university in BiH on this list is still the University of Sarajevo (UNSA), which is ranked 1714 in the world. The second place from our country is the University of Banja Luka on the 2769th place in the world.
Next, the universities in East Sarajevo and Tuzla, and the University in Mostar.

It is an interesting fact that private universities are ranked much worse. The International University of Sarajevo is ranked 3772 and “Sarajevo School of Science & Technology” is on the 5,669th place.

Two years ago, on the Webometrics ranking list, UNSA was in the 1496th position of the best universities in the world, which was the best ranking this educational institution has ever achieved. Since then, the University of Sarajevo has fallen by 218 places.

Given that Webometrics’ list includes universities from all over the world, a comparison can be made between Bosnia and Herzegovina university with those in the region, Klix.ba writes.
