How did Marijin Dvor Looked like Twenty Years Ago?

Marijin Dvor radiosarajevo.baTime passes, and the cities are changing. Sarajevo also changed, although the buildings for which this city is recognizable for centuries are still in place.

Meanwhile, some new buildings appeared – some would say not exactly beautiful – which to a large extent undermined the traditional look of the city, especially its old part.

Sarajevo neighborhood of Marijin Dvor underwent the biggest changes. In recent years, this part of the city somehow does not resemble the prior neighborhood. Huge shopping centers on both sides of the road were supposed to give a ”new building momentum” to the downtown. Is it so?

Take a look at how Marijin Dvor looked in not too distant past, only twenty years ago.
