How did Vucic admit that Belgrade governs Dodik and RS Politics?

The latest statement of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, only confirmed the “open secret” about the thesis that the political processes conducted in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) by the officials of the Republika Srpska (RS) are being managed from Belgrade.

“I told Dodik not to form an army, and he accepted that. Peace and stability are the most important in the region,” explained Vucic, once again wanting to present himself as a key factor in peace and stability in the Balkans, Klix.ba writes.

This contradicts Vucic‘s earlier statements when he publicly said that he was “not a police officer” who would tell RS officials what to do or say, and that he would never interfere in BiH’s internal affairs.

“Also, they ask why I let Dodik talk to me about what he wants. It is as if I am a policeman, “ the first man of Serbia stressedrecently.

But going back only three months, we will be reminded of how the withdrawal of military and indirect taxes competencies actually stopped.

After big announcements that they will withdraw its consent from the law on armed forces and indirect taxes, a session of the Presidency of the United Srpska (Ujedinjena Srpska) was held at the end of January this year, after which it was concluded that these laws should not be adopted until negotiations in BiH end or until elections are held.

To this “idea” of Nenad Stevandic, his coalition partner Milorad Dodik, soon replied “that he will think about“. But everything was completely clear even then. Stevandic was just a megaphone and the voice of Dodik’s decisions, for which the leader of the SNSD did not have the political courage to communicate to the people and admit defeat.

And then, three months later, the President of Serbia came out with the information that he was the one who prevented Dodik‘s dangerous intentions, although the SNSD leader said a few days ago that he would “freeze” the withdrawal of these competencies because “Germany ordered that“.

“Logic dictates that due to new circumstances, we will prolong those jobs for another six months. We are not rushing anywhere, but I can say that all documents have been done and are ready. The procedure is pending, but we will determine the right moment for that,” Dodik noted.

This is not the only move of SNSD and its partners at Vucic‘s hint, and it is shown by the fact that RS parliamentarians returned to the benches of the BiH Parliament and the Council of Ministers after being asked by the President of Serbia.

It was mentioned that Vucic, “having in mind the difficulty of the position of the entire Serbian people, and especially the inappropriate and unjust pressures against the RS and its leadership,” asked President Dodik and all political forces in the RS to participate in the work of joint institutions in BiH and protect interests of the Serbian people and RS in the best possible way.“

Even though both Vucic and Dodik claim that the RS entity is pursuing its own policy within BiH, it is quite clear that every government in the RS is going to the Serbian capital for advice, and possibly even to Moscow.
