How many Multimillionaires and Unemployed Citizens there are in BiH?

12980431_1153987427985545_1824865632_nAbout a million of citizens of BiH live on the poverty line, and more than 600,000 of them live below the poverty line.

On the other side, there is 617 super-rich people. The middle class has been completely destroyed, and that is a social picture of present-day BiH, according to Dnevni list.

According to all analysis, about 30,000 citizens of BiH are able to eat only because of the food they receive for free in the so-called soup kitchens. In BiH, more than 540,000 citizens are unemployed, while there is only 718,000 employees. Particularly dramatic is the estimate that around 200,000 employees are working for a minimum monthly salary of about 370 BAM, and the same number of employees is not receiving a salary nor contributions are paid to them.

From about 500,000 retirees in BiH, more than 60 % is receiving a pension that barely exceeds 300 BAM. According to a recent analysis of the World Bank, BiH is on the 5th place among the poorest European countries after Moldova, Ukraine and Albania.

In BiH, the per capita annual consumption of meat is 28 kilograms, and in the EU it is 91 kilogram, in the EU annual consumption of bread is 35 kilograms, and in BiH it is 110.

On the other hand, there is a small number of very rich people in BiH. Research shows that in BiH live 92 multimillionaire, whose fortune is worth more than 10 billion BAM. In this category, according to international standards and methodology, belongs every person whose wealth is greater than 30 million USD. Moreover, the number of multimillionaires in BiH is growing, there were 65 of them in 2012 and their number increased to 92 in 2015, and according to estimates there will be more than 100 at the end of 2016. In BiH also live 525 millionaires, who have a million or more BAM in the banks.
