The football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina ended its historic appearance at the World Cup in the round of 16 with a defeat against the United States of America (USA), but due to its good placement, it also earned a larger amount of money.

Namely, FIFA allocated 871 million dollars for the national teams that qualified for this year’s World Cup, and part of that money, of course, went to the Dragons.

Before the very beginning, BiH received 12.5 million dollars just because they qualified for the World Cup, of which 2.5 million dollars was intended for preparations.

The Dragons collected an additional 11 million dollars with good games and placement in the knockout phase, which will be the amount that all the teams that were eliminated in this part of the competition will receive.

When everything is taken into account, the football team of BiH received a total of 23.5 million dollars for this participation in the World Cup.

The money will be paid by FIFA to the account of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and then it will be distributed among the players, the coaching staff, and part of it will end up in the association.
