The Balkan Investigative Reporting Network of BiH (BIRN BiH) published a database of official vehicles of institutions and public companies in our country. This database includes all the procurements that were announced in the first six months of the year of 2018.

A total of 292 tenders were announced for the purchase of official vehicles for public companies and institutions in BiH in the first half of the year of 2018, and their total value amounted to about nine million BAM, according to the Database of Official Cars.

Around nine million BAM were spent on vehicles in the first half of the year, of which around three million BAM referred to passenger cars, i.e. limousines.

Institutions and public companies announced tenders for the purchase of a total of 563 vehicles, and almost half of them were passenger limousines and SUVs. A total of 104 tenders were completed so far, and 213 vehicles were purchased through them.

About 3.7 million BAM were spent on the purchase of passenger and SUV vehicles, and 2.7 million BAM were spent on 90 passengers’ cars.

The value of all announced tenders for vehicles amounted to more than 27 million BAM, while the value of tenders for passenger vehicles amounted to more than 6.5 million BAM.

Domestic institutions and public companies are purchasing diesel-engine cars in 80% of cases. Only one tender was announced for the purchase of an electric or hybrid vehicle this year.
