Sarajevo Kindergartens nap.baAlthough the Centar Municipality does not have direct jurisdiction over education, for several years now it allocates significant means from the budget for improvement of education system and working conditions in kindergartens, elementary and high schools situated within its area. Funds in the amount of 50,000 BAM for Public Institutions “Djeca Sarajeva” were allocated from the municipal budget for 2015.

Mentioned funds are distributed upon the proposal of the Commission of Municipal Council for Education, and based on defined Criteria for distribution of funds for educational institutions and submitted requests and defined priorities.

Accordingly, funds amounting to 25,000 BAM were allocated for kindergarten Višnjik for the replacement of outdated joinery. Five thousand BAM were allocated for the landscaping of the yard of the kindergarten “Skenderija”. Kindergarten “Leptirić” was allocated 15,000 BAM for installing fittings and necessary requisites. Furthermore, 5,000 BAM for yard landscaping was allocated for the kindergarten “Lane”.

This once again confirms that, through its engagement and contribution, the Municipality of Centar Sarajevo has been selflessly showing support and determination for improvement of spatial and material conditions for the staying of children and staff in kindergartens within its area, and that it works on the promotion of significance of preschool education and upbringing, the Centar Municipality stated.
