Research that dealt with the topic of belief in life after death in Europe, conducted by the “World Values Survey” (WVS), showed how our country ranks when it comes to this topic.

Namely, Turkey convincingly took the first place. Almost 92 percent of the inhabitants of this country believe in God and life after death.

Immediately after Turkey, in second position were the inhabitants of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) with 65.9 percent of religious persons. Poles are in third place (64.2 percent).

In Serbia, only 33.4 percent of citizens believe in life after death, while according to this survey, Croats are much more religious with 51.3 percent of citizens.

The World Values Survey is a global research project that investigates people’s values and beliefs, how they change over time, and what social and political impact they have.

Since 1981, a worldwide network of social scientists has conducted nationally representative surveys as part of the World Values Survey in nearly 100 countries, Klix.ba reports.
