The Collegium of the City Council adopted the proposal of Mayor Benjamina Karic about the money which should be set aside for the public celebration of New Year’s Eve, to be directed to the treatment of sick children instead.

The 50 percent of the money will be distributed for children who have cancer and 50 percent for children with diabetes.

Councilors who supported the proposal are Dragan Stevanovic, Mirela Dzehverovic, Muamer Mekic, Vedad Deljkovic, Adi Skaljic, Jasmin Skorupan, Toni Vukadin, Enisa Spahic, Vedran Dodik, Bajro Biber, and Seid Skaljic.

It should be reminded that the Sarajevo City Council on Wednesday voted to cancel the New Year’s Eve celebration in this city due to the possible deterioration of the epidemiological situation.
