[wzslider autoplay=”true”]Residents of the villages on the Bjelasnica plateau are using sunny and warm weather to finish the autumn works and prepare for winter. In front of the houses in the villages Pervizi and Sinanovici, and Umoljani and Bobovica on Visocica and Bjelasnica Mountain where residents stay over in their homes during the winter, it is clear that winter preparations are taking place.

Firewood is cut down, the hay is getting prepared, livestock manure is placed on the fields, herbs are drying, winter food is prepared and the onion wreaths are drying on the sun. Homemade products of Bjelasnica villages, hand-knitted woolen socks, embroidered shawls, tea, juices, jam, honey, vinegar, eggs, are on the booth in front of the hotel “Marsal.”

After lively summer, autumn days are passing much more calmly at 1,251 m of altitude in the village Bobovica, on Visocica Mountain. There are dozen houses that are not locked up, and in five to six houses in the village residents will stay over during the winter months.

Everyone is using the nice weather and the November sun in its own way to do what is left before the winter.

Zlatka Luckin is spinning the wool in front of her home in the sun, and during the winter she will knit socks, sweaters…She said that she had to sell a flock of sheep because there are no shepherds, and the wolves killed few sheep this summer. She and her husband are in years, so they cannot take care of the flock. Their son is in Sarajevo.
