High Representative Christian Schmidt met with Miguel Ángel Moratinos, UN High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations and Special Envoy to Combat Islamophobia, the OHR announced on X.

Bosnia and Herzegovina has a long tradition of coexistence between different religious communities, the High Representative said.

He stressed that open dialogue between cultures and religions is essential for healing the divisions left by the war.

Those working in this field play a crucial role in helping communities thrive and in preventing future outbreaks of religious or ethnic extremism, he added.
