The human remains of at least two people were discovered yesterday at the Grahovci site, municipality of Kiseljak. According to the information available to the Missing Persons Institute (MPI) of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), it is presumed that the remains could belong to victims of Bosniak nationality who went missing in this area in 1993.

The spokesperson of the MPI, Emza Fazlic, said that the remains were spotted by citizens who were carrying out excavations at this site, and they immediately called the police and the MPI.

“Upon arriving at the scene, it was determined that these were human remains belonging to at least two people, and the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH was informed of everything, in order to obtain an exhumation order as soon as possible,” said Fazlic.

Until then, the human remains that have been discovered are being secured by the local police.

The MPI of BiH has conducted exhumations at this site on several occasions, searching for victims of the past war, but until now no remains had been found, N1 writes.
