Humanitarian Concert of Amira Medunjanin Sold Out in Vienna

amira-medunjaninAs part of the project ‘Wiener Sevdah’ (Vienna Sevdah), on Saturday the diva of Sevdah Music Amira Medunjanin will perform with Boško Jović on guitar and Edvin Hadžić on contrabass.

Medunjanin will perform traditional Sevdalinka songs with folk songs from Macedonia and South Serbia. This will be her second performance in cooperation with the charitbal association FUTUREBAG-Bag for the Future, after her two concerts in May 2012.

The money from the concert will be used for the purchase of ergonomic school bags and stationary for socially vulnerably children in B&H. From 2011 until now, the Association has distributed a total of 7.000 school packages nationwide.

Wiener Sevdah continues on 22 March of this year with a performance by Vanja Muhović and his band.

In Novenber, FUTUREBAG launched a cycle of Sevdah concernts in the capital city of Austria with a successful concert by Damir Imamović.
