Numerous Turkish civil society organizations gathered yesterdayin Istanbul, where they held large protests in support of Palestine.

Hundreds of thousands of citizens assembled on Istanbul’s Galata Bridge, carrying large flags of Turkey and Palestine. The event was organized by the National Will Platform, a coalition of 308 non-governmental organizations.

Protesters prayed for an end to the Israeli massacre in Palestine and demanded international action against the crimes in Gaza.

A massive banner with the message “Stop the Genocide in Gaza” was displayed in the middle of the bridge, written in both Turkish and English.

Protesters chanted slogans such as “Israel the murderer will pay” and “Martyrs never die.”

Since October 7th, 2023, Israeli military attacks in Gaza have killed over 45.500 people, mostly women and children.
