Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday night that Iran’s missile capabilities had been destroyed, as Tel Aviv continued its joint offensive with the United States against Tehran.

“We are winning and Iran is devastated,” Netanyahu told a news conference, the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported.

The prime minister said that after 20 days of fighting, Tehran’s military capabilities had suffered significant damage.

“I can tell you that Iran does not have the ability to enrich uranium or produce ballistic missiles,” Netanyahu confirmed.

Iranian attacks and continued conflict
Despite Netanyahu’s claims, Iran fired a barrage of 11 missiles at several areas in Israel, as fighting between the two regional powers continued to intensify.

Israel and the United States launched a joint offensive against Iran on February 28, which has killed around 1,300 people so far, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile attacks on Israel, Jordan and Iraq, as well as Gulf countries that host US military facilities, causing casualties, damage to infrastructure and disruptions to global markets and air traffic.
