The Company ‘’Hydroelectric Power Plants on the Drina’’ from Višegrad made a profit of more than 4 million KM last year.

The Director of this firm, Mile Lakić, noted that the power plant “Višegrad” produced 857 gigawatts of electricity. The annual plan met with 95, and the rebalanced with 99 percent.

Lakić said that the most significant project that this company started last year was to stop the tricking of water under the hydroelectric dams, which costs 17 million KM. The project is being realized with the help of the Investment-Development Bank.

“The year will be remembered by what we have done in the information system of the Drina river basin and the treatment plant at the building near the barrier dam, and together with engineers from Serbia our experts have made a refrigerator thrust bearing at the turbine, and thus saved 700,000 KM, because this part was bought from the Japanese company ‘’Toshibi’’, added Lakić.

The company ‘‘Hydroelectric Power Plants on the Drina’’ is preparing documents for the issuance of environmental permits, which are extended every five years.

‘’As far as investing goes, in this year the company plans to allocate 37, in the next year 27, and in 2015 as many as 60 million KM’’, said Lakić.

In mid-year, the company intends to buy an office building that is being built in Andrićgrad, and to build a rail barrier to prevent the deposit of mud on the river Prači by Ustiprače, and to finish the project for 18 months to stop water seepage uner the dam Hydro Electric Power Plant.
