The member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Denis Becirovic, visited yesterday the Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH Husein ef. Kavazovic, with whom he discussed the signing of the contract between the Islamic Community and the state of BiH.

The interlocutors agreed that it is very important for this contract to be signed so that Muslims in BiH would not be discriminated against by Catholics and Orthodox Christians who have already signed contracts with the state.

They also agreed that the Islamic Community’s contract with the state of BiH should not be the subject of any political trade or concessions.

Reis-ul-ulema Kavazovic praised the efforts of Becirovic in protecting and preserving the interests of BiH and promised, in this sense, the full support of the Islamic community for his work.

Becirovic was interested in establishing a museum of Islamic culture and art of the Islamic Community in BiH and expressed his willingness to help as much as he could.

Moreover, Becirovic also informed Kavazovic about the Presidency’s efforts to improve and advance the conditions in which BiH finds itself and about the numerous challenges the country is facing.
