IGC reported Dodik and Cvijanovic for Genocide Denial, the Prosecutor’s Office of refused to Conduct an Investigation

The Canadian Genocide Research Institute (IGK) received a response from the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the criminal charges against Milorad Dodik and Željka Cvijanović.

IGK filed criminal charges against Milorad Dodik and Željka Cvijanović for violating the Law on the Prohibition of Genocide Denial. The Prosecutor’s Office then issued orders not to conduct an investigation against Milorad Dodik and Željka Cvijanović because, according to the IGK, there is no reasonable suspicion that the reported persons committed a criminal offense.

The reports also state an attempt to overthrow the constitutional and legal order of Bosnia and Herzegovina and to violate the territorial integrity, sovereignty, independence, political and legal subjectivity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They also stated that they passed a decree according to which the amendments to the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which were passed by the former high representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Valentin Inzko, are not valid in that entity, and which criminalize the denial of genocide and other crimes judged by domestic and international courts.

“The IGC will not give up cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the chief prosecutor (Milanko) Kajganić because truth and justice are on the side of the victims. The IGC will continue the legal battle so that all war criminals are brought to justice and those who deny the crime and those who protect criminals and crime deniers deserve the punishment they deserve. There is no difference between criminals and crime deniers. Some criminals can go unpunished, but they must never be calm and peaceful.”
