Implementation of “Sejdić-Finci” Ruling a Priority

The President of HDZ 1990 Božo Ljubić met yesterday in Mostar the Ambassador of the US to BiH Patrick Moon.

They concluded that the implementation of the “Sejdić-Finci” ruling is a priority at the moment and that it is necessary to find a solution that would be acceptable to all as soon as possible.

Ambassador Moon expressed his expectation that at the meeting in Brussels political leaders would reach a consensus over how to implement the judgement.

During the meeting they spoke of the institutional crisis in the FBiH, non-functioning of the executive and its consequences.

Ljubić spoke of a simpler and clear parliamentary majority and that it must be expressed through the executive branch.

It is a prerequisite because obstruction must stop so that the majority could take responsibility for the situation in the FBiH, otherwise the whole country and entity would continue to slide further down into a bigger political, institutional, economic and social crisis.

Ambassador Moon particularly stressed the need to intensify the rule of law in the fight against corruption.
