SOS Djecija sela BiH - SuperbusThe mobile -educational program Superbus, which operates within the organization SOS children’s village in B&H, is planning to implement six workshops as part of the project “With children around the world- get to know Austria” during March.

This projects is being implemented since September 2013, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria, and Superbus will implement workshops during March with the children of Sarajevo primary schools “Džemaludin Čaušević” and “Osman Nuri Hadžić”, SOS Social Center “Hermann Gmeiner”, Daily Center for children that work on streets, with the primary school “Musa Ćazim Ćatić”, Zenica and primary school  “Travnik”.

SOS Djecija sela BiH, Superbus, S djecom oko svijetaThe aim of this project is for children in a creative and entertaining way to have interactive participation and mutual cooperation to learn characteristics and specifics related to certain countries, to expand their knowledge and to enrich their personal experiences. Also, participants will have the opportunity to learn how to create artifacts, specific for Austria, which games children in Austria play every day and to become familiar with many German words that they used in conversation with friends and for which they are not aware that they are words of German language used in Austria.

20 workshops in the various location of Sarajevo, Mostar, Goražde, Gračanica and other B&H cities (in primary schools and parks) are planned during a one year implementation of the project, and participation of 600 children and parents is expected.

Within Superbus workshops, which are implemented based on the principle of learning through games, children adopt new learning and expand existing information on geography, nature, social and cultural  characteristics of other countries, with the special emphasis on Austria. The goal is to raise awareness of children and youth towards cultural diversity, towards respect, appreciation and tolerance and to build a multicultural society. One of the objectives of this project is to promote children’s rights and to promote the method of learning through playing.
