The Chairman of the BiH Presidency Nebojša Radmanović received the Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Poposki. They spoke about improving bilateral relations, activities related on the EU path and Euro Atlantic integration of BiH and Macedonia and increasing regional cooperation.

It was announced at the meeting that the relations between the two countries are very good and friendly and without any open issues.

They agreed that there is an interest from both countries to improve bilateral relations and cooperation, especially in the economic area.

The strategic interest of both countries is the improvement of regional cooperation, which is an obligation in the process of European integration.

In this context, Chairman Radmanović announced that without good regional cooperation a bigger step forward cannot be made, and nothing significant can be achieved. He said that the group from Višegrad was a good example of successful regional cooperation.

He also mentioned that there are big opportunities to improve economic relations and trade goods between the two countries, which should be used for mutual benefit. Chairman Radmanović also emphasized the importance of sharing experiences of BiH and Macedonia on the path to EU integration.

He said that Macedonia has implemented all reforms to meet its foreign policy priorities, such as membership to NATO and the commencement of negotiations for full EU membership. He expressed hope for a quick resolution with Greece over the name dispute. He used this occasion to suggest sharing European funds in infrastructure, especially in improving the road connecting Sarajevo and Skopje.
