In Canton Sarajevo, 49.9 percent of Adult Citizens were fully vaccinated against Coronavirus

To date, 165.841 people have been fully vaccinated in Canton Sarajevo (CS), which is 49.9 percent of adult citizens, according to the CS Public Health Institute.

The data were collected through the information system of theHealth Insurance Institute of CS, on the basis of which a weekly section of the vaccination status was made.

As stated, out of the total number of fully vaccinated citizens, 128.593 were vaccinated in CS health facilities, while the rest were immunized outside of them.

Of the total number of fully vaccinated people, the largest number belongs to the age group of 36-45 years, 31.863 or 19.21 percent, while the smallest number of vaccinated are citizens aged 19-25, of whom 10.716 or 6.46 percent were vaccinated.

It was emphasized from the Institute that 514 people under the age of 18 received both doses of the vaccine, which makes 0.31 percent of the population.

According to the latest data from the CS Public Health Institute, there are 151 patients in the hospital with COVID-19 disease.

Of this number of patients, 20 were fully vaccinated, which represents 13.25 percent of those hospitalized, while 86.75 percent of those in the hospital were unvaccinated.
