In June More Tourists in B&H than the Same Month Last Year

turisticka sezonaBosnia and Herzegovina in June of this year was visited from 90.726 tourists, which is 8.8 percent more than the same month last year.

According to the Agency for Statistics of B&H, tourists spent 187,555 overnight stays, more by 8.8 percent.

The total number of overnight stays in June, mainly local tourists is 40.5 and foreign tourists 59.5 per cent. The number of foreign tourists has increased by 21.5 percent compared to June last year.

Among foreign tourists in June this year, tourists from Turkey, Serbia and Croatia spent more overnight stays in B&H. Tourists from Malta get the first place in regard to the length of stay in the country with an average stay of 5 nights and Iran with four nights.

Bosnia and Herzegovina in the first six months of this year hosted 389.276 tourists, which is higher by 10.7 percent compared to the same period of the 2012. In this period is recorded 810,701 overnight, with is more for 9.1 percent.
