In the first Four Months Number of Tourists increased for almost 20 Percent more than last Year

Tourist Data visitmycountry.netIn April 2015 in B&H, tourists have made 82.698 visits, which is 28.6 percent more compared to March 2015 and 13.8 percent more compared to April 2014. Tourists have realized 162.604 overnight stays, which is 23.4 percent more in comparison to March 2015, and 16.1 percent more in comparison to April 2014. In the total realized number of overnight stays, the participation of domestic tourists is 33.3 percent, and 66.7 percent of foreign tourists.

The number of overnight stays of domestic tourists increased for 5.8 percent compared to March 2015 and 10.3 percent compared to April 2014. The number of overnight stays of foreign tourists is greater for 34.6 percent in comparison to March 2015 and 19.2 percent in comparison to April 2014, according to the data of the Agency for Statistics of B&H.

According to the type of accommodation facilities, the highest number of overnight stays was realized in the framework of business Hotels and similar accommodation, with the share of 93.5 percent.

In the structure of overnight stays of foreign tourists, the tourists from Croatia stayed the most nights (15,8), followed by tourists from Turkey (11.0), Italy (9,6), Serbia (8.7), Slovenia (6.5) and Germany (4.2), which amounts to 55.8 percent. Tourists from other countries realized 44.2 percent of overnight stays.

As for the length of stay of foreign tourists in B&H, tourists from South African Republic are in the first place with an average stay of 4.2 nights, following are Egypt and Kuwait with 3.2 for each, Iceland with 3.0 nights and France with 2.9 nights.

In the period from January to April 2015, tourists have made 242.276 visits, which is 19.6 percent more than in the same period in year 2014, and realized 504.422 overnight stays, which is 23.8 percent more compared to the same period last year.

The number of overnight stays of domestic tourists increased for 19.0 percent, while the number of overnight stays of foreign tourists is greater for 27.0 percent in comparison to the same period in 2014.

In the total realized number of overnight stays, the share of domestic tourists is 38.5 percent and 61.5 percent is the share of foreign tourists.

In the structure of overnight stays of foreign tourists, tourists from Croatia stayed the most nights (24.6), Serbia (15.1), Turkey (7.7), Italy (7.4) and Slovenia (6.8), which is total of 61.6 percent. Tourists from other countries realized 38.4 percent of overnight stays.
