In what ways can you help the People of Morocco if you are in BiH?

The death toll from the devastating earthquake in Morocco has exceeded 2,800. Many survivors are sleeping in the open. There are also villages that were literally completely destroyed. How can we help from Bosnia and Herzegovina?

A devastating earthquake hit Turkey and Syria at the beginning of the year. At that time, we witnessed the most diverse volunteer actions in all parts of BiH, all in order to provide at least a little relief to the affected population.

This is not the case with the tragedy in Morocco – but the ways and the need to help do exist.

First of all, the Red Cross of Bosnia and Herzegovina appeals to all citizens not to forget their active humanitarian number: 17023. By calling this number, you will donate two convertible marks.

Furthermore, another option that the Red Cross of Bosnia and Herzegovina draws attention to is their account, where individuals, legal entities and everyone else can make monetary donations. Information about the account is available at this link.

A similar action was initiated by Merhamet. They will last from September 11 to October 11, 2023, and will be carried out by collecting funds in all organizational parts of HO “Merhamet” MDD in the country and abroad. At the same time, Merhamet also offers a humanitarian number by calling which you donate two BAM, namely: 17061. You can find more details at this link.

Students also participate in the humanitarian action. Namely, the Association of Medical Students in BiH (BoHeMSA) published an open appeal for help to the victims of the earthquake in Morocco, pointing out that they have always cooperated with this country, and that they are deeply affected by the tragedy.

After the earthquake, a non-profit organization of Marrakesh medical students, known as AEM MARAKESH, quickly initiated a fund-raising campaign through its official bank account.

“This initiative aims to provide financial resources that will be of key importance for providing the necessary assistance to the victims and alleviating their suffering in the shortest possible time. Although we do not carry out the action directly through our association, we feel a moral obligation and civic responsibility to convey the appeal of our colleagues from Morocco. In the attachment, we provide information for the payment of aid”, they said.

Account name: ASSOCIATION DES ETUDIANTS EN MEDECINE DE MARRAKECH

IBAN: 007 450 0008572000302522 22.

Let us remind you that the Pomozi.ba organization also sent an amount of 100,000 BAM to help this country, N1 reports.
