Increase in Number of Tourist Arrivals and Overnight Stays in BiH

In the period from January – July 2021, a total of 460, 653 tourists arrivals were recorded, which represent an increase by 76.9 and 1 093 239 overnight stays which is an increase by 70.4% as compared to the same period of 2020.

Concerning the structure of foreign overnight stays, most of them (71.8%) were realized by tourists from Serbia (20.8%), United Arab Emirates (16.5%), Croatia (10.2%), Saudi Arabia (7.1%), Germany (4.3%), Montenegro (3.4%), Kuwait (3.3%), Slovenia (3.2%), and Turkey (3.0%). Tourists from other countries realised 28.2% of overnight stays.

Regarding the average stay of foreign tourist stays, on the first place comes Finland with average stay of 6.5 nights, Iran with 5.9 nights and Latvia with 4.4 nights.

According to the type of accommodation facility the highest number of nights was recorded in Hotels and similar accommodation with share of 92.6%.
