130 new Cases of Coronavirus Infection were confirmed in the Sarajevo Canton

According to the data of the Public Health Institute of Canton Sarajevo, in the past 24 hours, 130 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the Sarajevo Canton, after laboratory testing of 909 samples.

In the same period, 121 patients recovered from Covid-19 infection. Five people died. There are currently 194 patients in hospital, 170 of whom have an acute infection, while the rest are post covid or under observation.

127 patients are being treated at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and 67 at the General Hospital “Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakas”.

Five patients are on continuous mechanical ventilation (CMV) – respirator, 18 are on non-invasive ventilation (NIV), and nine on oxygen support breathing above 15 liters per minute.

Sarajevo Canton today records 1,201 active cases of Covid-19 infection. There are currently 2,655 people in self-isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 56,739 people infected with the coronavirus have been registered and 54,193 have been cured.

In the past seven days, the average number of infected is 161, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 268, according to the Institute of Public Health of CS.
