Fuel prices at the pumps in the Republika Srpska have almost reached 2.70 BAM per liter, while additional price increases are expected in the coming days, Đorđe Savić, chairman of the Oil and Petroleum Derivatives Trade Group of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republika Srpska, told “Nezavisne novine”.

“Diesel prices range from 2.63 to 2.69 BAM per liter, while gasoline is from 2.49 to 2.52 BAM,” said Savić.

He points out that the price of oil on the world market increased last week, so price growth can be expected on the domestic market as well, but, as he says, it is very difficult to forecast how much it will amount to.

And Milovan Bajić, the director of “Krajinapetrol”, points out for “Nezavisne novine” that today there will be new prices at their pumps, with an increase of six pfennigs, because, as he says, the purchase price of oil derivatives has also increased a lot due to events on world markets.

“Diesel cost 2.63 BAM, and from today the price of diesel will be 2.69 BAM”, said Bajić and added that the price of fuel on the world market is currently being monitored, and he points out that it is difficult to predict what will happen in the coming period. and how fuel prices will move on the domestic market.

From a Banja Luka gas station, they said that in recent days there has been a price correction of five pfennigs, and that now diesel costs 2.69 BAM, while gasoline is 2.49 BAM per liter.

Prices are lower in Prijedor than in Banja Luka. At a petrol station in Banja Luka, they say that their fuel prices are at a standstill and that they have not yet announced that there will be a price increase.

“With us, diesel costs 2.60 BAM, while gasoline is 2.45,” they said from this pump.

From September to the end of 2023, fuel prices at the pumps in the Republika Srpska were adjusted downward by an average of about 50 pfennigs. This happened after the value of one barrel of crude oil fell from 93 to 74 dollars.
