During July of this year, police officers of the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of the Sarajevo Canton issued 189 misdemeanor warrants to drivers who illegally parked their vehicles in places designated for people with disabilities.

For the same reason, five vehicles were moved with a special vehicle.

Since the beginning of this year, police officers of the Police Administration have issued 1,515 misdemeanor warrants based on illegal parking in places designated for people with disabilities, and 26 vehicles have been moved.

The MUP of Sarajevo Canton reminds citizens that illegal parking in a place reserved for people with disabilities is prohibited by the Law on the Basics of Road Safety in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton continues to actively enforce increased surveillance and control of accessibility signs, i.e. parking in parking spaces marked for people with disabilities.

All participants in traffic are invited to respect traffic regulations and show an appropriate level of awareness for the needs of drivers with disabilities.
