Indian Spiritual Leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar arrived to Sarajevo

indian spiritual leaderIndian spiritual leader, the peacemaker and humanitarian, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar arrived yesterday afternoon to Sarajevo, and hundreds of supporters of his teachings from BiH, countries of region and the world welcomed him at the airport.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is bearer of numerous international awards and prizes, and he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize three times.

His vision, by which he seeks to promote the society and life without stress and violence, united millions of people around the world through programs of the Art of Living Foundation established by him and which has the special consultative status at the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC).

His arrival to BiH was organized by the Association Art of Living from Tuzla, which operates in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2000, implementing programs of the International Art of Living Foundation that exists in 160 countries of the world.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar held a lecture entitled “Voice for the peace and human values“ in Bosnian culture center last night. The lecture started at 7.00 p.m. and it could be monitored in 50 countries of the world.
After his addressing at the European Parliament in Brussels, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will today be received in the official visit in Sarajevo by the member of Presidency of BiH, Bakir Izetbegovic.
