Institute warns on the Strong Stormy Winds in Republika Srpska

The Republican Hydrometeorological Institute of the Republika Srpska has issued a warning of strong stormy winds for today and tomorrow in the territory of the Republika Srpska.

The Hydrometeorological Institute stated that the south and southwest winds will strengthen today, first in the west, and in the evening and at night in other areas. In the evening and during the night it will be windy with strong to stormy winds.

Wind gusts in the west will be from 40 to 70 kilometers per hour, in the mountains they will be stronger, according to the forecast of the Hydrometeorological Institute.

Windy, with strong to stormy winds in all areas, it will be tomorrow in the first part of the day as well. Wind gusts will be from 50 to 90, on the mountains in some places around 100 kilometers per hour.

In the morning and before noon, first in the north, and during the day also in other regions, temporary stronger showers with thunder were announced, and the wind will weaken in all areas by the evening.

The Banja Luka Department for Civil Protection and professional territorial firefighting units call on the population, legal and natural persons, to take all measures and actions to protect people and material goods in a timely manner, and to adapt outdoor activities to the announcements of the meteorologist.
