worksAfter completion of the main switching pressure pipeline to the newly built, workers of the construction company Euro-Asfalt from tonight will start with 24-hour works on completion of the roundabout in Buca Potok.

The works will last for the next 7 to 10 days, when the roundabout should be completed, and works will take place without suspension of traffic.

According to the Mayor of the Municipality of Novi Grad Efendic, the most difficult part of works was completed last night and the water system is back in operation.

“It was one of the most demanding projects that we realized so far, the relocation of pipelines under the high pressure, which has a working pressure of 15 bar, which exceeds 25 bar at certain moments, which made this a very demanding and safety-sensitive project. The operation was carried out without any problems,” stated Mayor Efendic.

According to the director of Euro-Asfalt Enver Ajanovic, now they will be working on earthworks, where the entire level of the road, on the site of the roundabout, will be descended for about 1.5 meter, then they will work on tamping, curbs installation, after which making of the first layer of carrier asphalt will take place, while placing of wearing course of asphalt, which requires higher air temperatures, is planned in March.

The project of construction of roundabout is jointly funded by the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo and the Directorate of Roads of Canton Sarajevo.
