International 6th April Tournament for Youth Basketball Players

SONY DSCThe seventh international 6th April basketball tournament for pioneers, cadets and juniors in Sarajevo ended last night with final matches in all categories, under the organization of the basketball club Koš.

In the junior competition, the most successful were the Spars, who beat Fenerbahce from Istanbul in the finals with 80:64. Edin Atić once again had a great game and scored 28 points with five rebounds and three assists. The junior B&H basketball team won third place, beating Cibona with 68:55.

The Spars celebrated in the pioneer category, and in the finals beat the team Jolly from Šibenik with 86: 51. Dubrovnik team won third place, beating Gen with 66:56.

The best team in the cadet’s category was Cibona, which beat Koš with 80:74. Beneton took third place, beating Spars with 84:62.

18 teams took part in the tournament, six each in all three categories.

The tournament was included this year in the official FIBE calendar.
