International Congress “MediCon 2015” started

MediCon 2015 Tuzla akta.baInternational congress of students and young doctors of biomedicine “MediCon 2015” started two days ago at the Faculty of Medicine in Tuzla, with an official opening ceremony.

With presence of a large number of students, invitees and guests, the congress was opened by Bego Gutić, the Prime Minister of the Tuzla Canton. The Government of the Tuzla Canton is an institution which recognized and supported a scientific and expert gathering which has not been held in a similar form in this region for the past two decades.

Besides Gutić, guests were addressed by Emir Bećirović, President of the Organization Committee of “MediCon 2015” and President of the Association “MEDICUS”, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Tuzla Prof. Dr. Elmir Čičkušić, Vice Rector for Scientific reseach at the University of Tuzla Prof. Dr. Ferid Ljuca, Prof. Dr. Enver Halilović, and the Mayor of Tuzla Jasmin Imamović.

The speakers expressed a joint attitude that the organizers managed to create an ultimate gathering intended for this target group, for the people to whom it is of extreme importance to acquire additional knowledge and mutually create networks of future cooperation already during the study.

The third number of the magazine of the students of the Faculty of medicine in Tuzla “Pulsus”, which is largely dedicated precisely to “MediCon”, was also promoted at the official opening ceremony.

Congress “MediCon 2015”, which is thematically dedicated to the heart, will gather 250 participants from 18 countries of Europe, Asia and Africa during three working days. The participants will have the opportunity to listen to five plenary lecturers, eight full student sessions, four workshops, and they will also be a part of accompanying events which will enable them to get to know Tuzla and get some fun during free time.
