The International Seminar on the Development of Goat Breeding Held in Zenica

biokoza seminarThe international seminar on the development of goat breeding in Bosnia and Herzegovina was held yesterday in Zenica, organized by the Association of Goat Breeders “Biokoza”.

The seminar was attended by a large number of farmers who expressed their desire to be united through the Association ”Biokoza” and the project of the Turkish company Milksa from Bursa.

Through this project Milksa seeks to, together with the Association, relevant ministries and institutions, establish 1000 goat farms in BiH, which would have great social and economic importance for the country and for the farmers who would, through breeding goats the form of a family business under the franchise system, provide for their families.

The project 1000 goat farms in BiH will directly and indirectly employing over 7,500 people, while the expected exports of milk and cheese during a year would amount to about 500 million BAM.

The Association ”Biokoza” from Zenica is soon preparing new activities, seminars, training and meetings across the country aimed at a better organization of farmers, goat breeders and joint action towards the state, entity and cantonal competent institutions that have an obligation to facilitate the work of farmers.

The seminar was participated by Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry of Zenica-Doboj Canton Bojan Bošnjak, Vinko Batinić from the Agronomy and Food University of Mostar, Ivan Pihler from the Faculty of Agriculture of Novi Sad, Serbia head of the Association Stočar Milan Rainović and a representative of the Turkish company Milksa from Bursa Mustafa Sevinc, said people of the Associations ‘Biokoza’.
