A few days ago, State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) members found parts of a firearm in Pale that matches the type and caliber of the weapon from which two Sarajevo police officers were killed in Alipasino Polje four years ago.

This information was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Canton Sarajevo (CS) Prosecutor’s Office, Azra Bavcic.

”Under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office, SIPA members conducted an inspection and investigation in Pale and found parts of firearms that correspond in type and caliber to the firearms from which Sarajevo police officers were killed,” she said.

Parts of the weapon that were brought in contact with the murder suspect were sent for expert examination.

SIPA also found ammunition as well as parts of ammunition that match the type and caliber of the weapon from which the police officers were killed.

It should be reminded that in the shooting that took place on October 26th, 2018 in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Alipasino Polje, police officer Adis Sehovic was killed, while Davor Vujinovic was seriously wounded, as a result of which he later succumbed to injuries in the hospital.

In the case of the murder of Sarajevo police officers, the suspects in the murder are Marko Trifkovic, Aleksandar Macan, and Savo Marinkovic, who is serving his sentence in Germany, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

The investigation into the murder of Sarajevo police officers has been going on for three years and five months and is still awaiting concrete results.
