Inzko and Grabar-Kitarovic bportal.baThe High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Valentin Inzko met yesterday in Sarajevo with the President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, with whom he discussed the current political situation in B&H and especially the obligation of BH authorities to fully respect the Peace agreement.

They have also discussed the new stage in attempts of B&H to approach the EU via recently signed program of reforms.

Inzko thanked Grabar-Kitarovic on the role that the Republic of Croatia played during past years as one of the signatories of the Dayton Peace Agreement and a member of the EU in providing support for B&H.

“As I said many times, Croatia is a positive example for B&H of how a determined progress can be made on the Euro-Atlantic plan, when there is a political will for the implementation of reforms in the interest of all citizens”, Inzko said.

Grabar-Kitarovic emphasized that the survival and staying of the Croat people in B&H is important, and that the principles of the Dayton Agreement must be respected, guaranteeing an equal position to the Croat people.

Inzko has made it clear that the referendum of the Republic of Srpska (RS) is a serious and direct threat to the Peace agreement which introduces the risk for B&H to move backwards, and that it must be put aside in order for BH leaders to focus on the real reforms to the benefit of the citizens, it was announced from the OHR.
