Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that they had given the necessary warning to the United States of America about the attack on Israel.
Amir-Abdollahian announced on his social media account that he had spoken with colleagues from Belgium and the Netherlands.
“The terrorist attack carried out by the Israeli regime on the building of the Iranian embassy in Damascus and the violation of international law and the Vienna Conventions were on the agenda. I explained the positions of our country. I emphasized that a warning was given to the USA,” he said.
Amir-Abdollahian said that he also discussed the Israeli attacks on Gaza with his Russian colleague Sergey Lavrov.
Iranian state television announced that a large-scale drone strike had been launched against Israel.
The White House also announced that Iran had launched an airstrike on Israel and confirmed that US support for Israel’s security is “ironclad”.
