There has been intense talk lately about a possible reconstruction of the Sarajevo Canton Government. After ‘Our Party’ offered to reconstruct the Government, this proposal was accepted wholeheartedly by their partners from ‘NiP’ and ‘Our Party.’

According to the latest information, a change of certain ministers, as well as the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton, is possible.

There is already a lot of speculation about possible names for the new prime minister. Depending on whether this position will be taken over by NiP or SDP, for now Adnan Delić, Adnan Šteta and Nermin Muzur are being mentioned as possible solutions. According to sources close to Sarajevo Times, the coalition partners have agreed that the current federal minister of labor and social policy Adnan Delić will take a duty of the new prime minister of Canton Sarajevo.

During his mandate, some of the important projects that minister Delic engaged in were signing of agreements on co-financing capital, infrastructure projects for non-governmental and governmental non-profit organizations in a total value of 2.5 million convertible marks. In addition, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy has announced a Public Call for Funding for Non-Profit Organizations Working on the Implementation of the Law on Protection from Domestic Violence with one million BAM. Additionally, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, in cooperation with the World Bank, launched the Second Employment Support Project (ESP 2) worth 25 million BAM. Also, Delic has recently signed agreements in Program to help households in flooded areas.

After the appointment of the Cantonal Government in early 2021, he assumed the position of Minister of Economy of the Sarajevo Canton.

In the 2022 general elections, he was on the People and Justice list for the FBiH Parliament and won a mandate, after which he was appointed Minister of Labor and Social Policy.
