The Israeli military has drawn up plans to strengthen security along the borders of the Gaza Strip.
The plans include a gradual withdrawal from the enclave as part of the implementation of the disengagement agreement.
The “Walla” portal reported that the Israeli military will adjust its deployment and begin a gradual withdrawal from the Gaza Strip during the process of implementing the agreement.
It added that the Southern Command is preparing to strengthen its deployment along the Gaza border as well as defense lines to increase security along the border areas.
The report states that the 162nd Division of the Israeli army will take responsibility for defending the northern Gaza Strip, while the 143rd Division and the Gaza Division will be tasked with defending the southern Gaza Strip with a gradual withdrawal from the enclave.
The same source states that the 99th Division will withdraw from the Netzarim Corridor in central Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced earlier that the Security Office has approved the prisoner exchange and ceasefire agreement.
Qatar announced a three-phase deal on Wednesday to end more than 15 months of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, which have killed nearly 47,000 people.
The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants in November for Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over the war in the enclave.
