Israel-Iran Conflict: New Missile Attacks launched by both Sides

Israel targeted a nuclear facility in Isfahan, one of the country’s largest, but no hazardous materials were leaked, Iran’s Fars news agency reported.

Iranian media reported that Israel had struck a building in the city of Qom, killing a 16-year-old and wounding two others.

The Israeli military said it had launched a wave of strikes on missile depots and missile launch infrastructure in Iran.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m., the Israeli military warned of an incoming missile wave from Iran, setting off air raid sirens across central Israel, including Tel Aviv, as well as the West Bank.

Missile intercepts could be seen in the sky over Tel Aviv, and explosions echoed in the city area as Israeli air defense systems responded.

Sirens also sounded in southern Israel, the National Emergency Management Agency said.

An Israeli military official said Iran fired five ballistic missiles and there were no immediate indications of any ground strikes.

There were no immediate reports of casualties in Israel.

The emergency services released images showing a fire on the roof of a multi-storey apartment building in central Israel. Local media reported that the fire was caused by debris from an intercepted missile.

The reciprocal attacks came a day after Tehran said it would not negotiate over its nuclear programme while under threat and Europe tried to hold peace talks.

Five members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard killed in Israeli strikes on Khoramabad

At least five members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard were killed in Israeli strikes targeting the western Iranian city of Khoramabad.

Earlier on Saturday, Iranian media reported that two people were also killed and four injured in an Israeli strike in Qom in central Iran.

Hostilities erupted on June 13 when Israel launched airstrikes on several sites across Iran, including military and nuclear facilities, prompting Tehran to launch retaliatory strikes.

Israeli authorities have said that since then, at least 25 people have been killed and hundreds injured in Iranian missile strikes.

In Iran, at least 430 people have been killed and more than 3,500 wounded in Israeli strikes, according to the Iranian Ministry of Health.
