Israeli Army has killed one percent of Children in the Gaza Strip

The humanitarian organization “Save the Children” announced that the Israeli army has killed one percent of children in the Gaza Strip in its attacks since October 7.

They pointed out that, according to the data of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, more than 10,000 children were killed during Israeli attacks in the region.

The statement stated that 1.1 million children live in Gaza, and noted that those killed in Israeli attacks make up one percent of the total child population in the area.

“Children who survive the violence in Gaza suffer unspeakable horrors, including life-changing injuries, burns, illnesses, inadequate medical care, and the loss of parents and other loved ones. With nowhere safe to go, they have had to repeatedly flee the violence and face with the terror of an uncertain future,” it said.

Save the Children’s director for Palestine, Jason Lee, said that Palestinian children have paid a high price because a cease-fire has not been reached in Gaza.

“On average, 100 children are killed every day because a final ceasefire has not been reached. There is no justification for killing children. The situation in Gaza is horrific and a disaster for our common humanity. One percent of the child population in Gaza has already been affected by Israeli bombardment,” Lee said.

He said that the children are in fear, injured, and facing death from hunger and disease.

Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023 have killed 23,469 Palestinians, including 10,300 children and 7,100 women.
