The Israeli military has imposed a ban on civilian movement in southern Lebanon, preventing residents of more than 60 villages in border areas from returning to their homes, Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced on the X platform.

Civilians are prohibited from traveling south of an imaginary line connecting ten Lebanese border towns with Israel. According to the military’s statement, anyone moving south of the line may endanger themselves.

Additionally, the Israeli military published a list of over 60 Lebanese villages where residents are banned from returning.

A ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon came into effect on November 27th, based on a United States (U.S.) – French initiative.

The agreement includes the deployment of Lebanese troops, supported by the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), along the country’s southern border. Israeli forces are set to gradually withdraw from southern Lebanon within 60 days.
