Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned Hezbollah against entering a war against Israel, saying it would trigger Israeli counterattacks of “unimaginable” force that would devastate Lebanon.
Netanyahu told Hezbollah that going to war against Israel would be a “lifetime mistake,” reports Reuters.
“In that case, we will strike with a force that I cannot imagine and that will be devastating for the state of Lebanon,” Netanyahu said during a visit to soldiers in the north of the country.
On Friday, Israeli warplanes carried out attacks on some areas on the border with Lebanon.
According to the Lebanese agency NNA, the Israeli army carried out attacks in the south of Lebanon.
Israeli warplanes carried out an air strike on the valley located between the towns of Jarin and Al Jubeil in Lebanon.
It was also stated that Israeli warplanes hit the Jarin area for the second time.
Hezbollah announced that in the evening it hit a Hummer military vehicle and a tank with guided missiles in the Israeli settlement of Dovev, which is located opposite the town of Jarin.
He also told the soldiers that he could not tell them “whether Hezbollah will decide to fully enter the war.”
